Dr. Gathecha is Head of the Division of Violence and Injury Prevention at the Ministry of Health in Kenya. She leads several research and implementation projects, which have had a major impact for creating knowledge about Trauma and injury prevention in Kenya, leading to changes in policy. She also leads the CNIS Trauma Team Training project.
